Celebrate the grand opening of Arcadia Boutique on Rittenhouse Square (5-9 p.m.) with two floors of eco-friendly fashions, snacks, sips and a trunk show with designer Marisa Lombardo of Artemisia. Guests even enjoy a 15% discount on all merchandise.

In honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance, the Trans-Health Information Project is hosting a “Celebration of Lives” (21 S. 12th St., 10th fl.). Join friends and community
members for light refreshments (5-5:30 p.m.), followed by a memorial photography hanging and and storytelling throughout the evening.

Put your cultural foot forward at the Print Center‘s The Printed Image: Corin Hewitt (5:30-7 p.m.) with a lecture by the artist on photography. Hewett’s work is widely shown in the U.S. and Europe. He’s enjoyed solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of Art and the Seattle Museum of Art.

In 1974, the Lesbian Herstory Archives started gathering and preserving records of lesbian lives for future generations. Join Tara Rubeinstein and Elliot Andre Valentino at Garden of Lez, a fundraiser for the Lesbian Herstory Archives (7-11 p.m.) at 4606 Kingsessing St. in West Philly, complete with a photo shoot.

Support the Greater Philadelphia Flag Football League tonight at the JOCKS Party at Tabu (9 p.m.). They are the guys who shared this “It Gets Better” video with G Philly. Get one free Absolut drink with $5 cover.

Saturday, November 20

Join Mayor Nutter at Columbus Square Park at 12th and Wharton for the Greater Philadelphia Flag Football Fall Championship. Playoffs begin at 10 a.m. with concessions and proceeds benefiting the park and the Greater Philadelphia Flag Football League.

Help transform the Mariposa Food Co-Op during Metamorphosis for Mariposa (2 p.m.) at VIX Emporium (5009 Baltimore Ave.). The co-op is raising money to expand its space and open a larger location a block away. Dock Street will be on location with beer; local artists will be selling their wares; and there will also be a raffle to win prizes.

Get your corset (or harness) ready for the Diabolique Ball XIV at Shampoo (9 p.m.-2 a.m.). Out WXPN DJ Robert Drake will be on deck, along with a main stage fashion show, fetish asylum, sideshow and VIP treatment.

Sunday, November 21

Spend the afternoon at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and check out several special exhibitions, including Tailoring Philadelphia: Tradition and Innovation in Menswear and Eakins on Paper: Drawings and Watercolors from the Collection.

Drexel’s 11th Hour Theatre Company performs Rent, a musical about AIDS and redemption set in New York City (2 p.m.). Check out the cast’s appearance on NBC’s The 10 Show.
