Windows Throughout Old City for Design Philadelphia
As part of design Philadelphia, oodles of boutiques, galleries and restaurant owners throughout Old City are collaborating with area artists and students to create artistic window displays, which will all be a part of the contest hosted by the Old City Business Collective. The displays will turn Old City into a virtual gallery, and many shops are planning their own trunk shows, demonstrations, lectures and other events to go on during the festivities. Chestnut Hill: Annual Fall For The Arts Festival  
This adorable historic neighborhood is celebrating the season on Sunday along the 8000-8700 blocks of Germantown Ave., with over 150 artists showcasing their arts and crafts; outdoor dining at the town’s restaurants; live entertainment, including an aerial acrobat troupe; and discounted parking in lots. Duross & Langel: Kids Halloween Soap-Making Class  
Our favorite local savonniers are hosting a soap-making class just for the kids this Tuesday afternoon. Drop off your seven to twelve year olds at the shop’s in-house soap-making kitchen (no parents allowed!), then enjoy cocktails and shop both there and at neighboring Scarlett Fiorella till class is dismissed.
