Bridal Bouquet: The Wedding Planners

Up-and-coming wedding consultants are taking extra steps to help local brides achieve wedding-day bliss. Brinda Murphy, owner of the East Norriton-based Every Last Wish Event Planners, now does linen rentals. “It is one of the hottest things going,” she says. While some venues may provide a standard set, Murphy has colorful samples and will custom-order tablecloths, chair covers and the like. “It’s amazing how a room can change by changing linens,” she says.

And these days, brides are “not bound by any rules,” says Allegra Craig, owner of The Happy Bride wedding-consulting firm in Green Lane. Some want to decorate the reception hall on their own or incorporate their heritage—and they can do just that.

The Happy Bride’s Day-of Package gives the bride-to-be a chance to make her own arrangements, and then coordinate with a planner who can review the details and work out any last-minute kinks—so it’s smooth sailing when the Big Day finally arrives.
