Danny’s Adult Store Robbed at Gunpoint

I’m sorry to bring you more unfortunate crime news out of the Gayborhood.

Police confirm that Danny’s Adult Store — located at 133 S. 13th Street — was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight yesterday, March 25th.

The incident took place at 12:56 p.m. According to police, the person working the counter reported that an “unknown black male entered the store and produced a black-and-silver-colored handgun and stated, ‘Give me the money.'”

At that point, the employee removed $497 from the cash drawer and placed it into a brown bag, which the male took and exited the store.

The officer told me the perpetrator headed south on 13th Street. He is described as being light-skinned, 35 to 40 years of age, and approximately 6-foot and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black puffy jacket and dark pants. Police are currently scouting the area to see if there is any video footage that was taken when the robbery occurred.

If you have any information, call the police. This comes after a string of crimes that have been reported in the Gayborhood lately, one being a stabbing outside Venture Inn last Thursday night.
