Pineville Fishtown brought comforting tavern-style fare — plus an impressive upstairs piano bar — to the corner of Huntingdon and Gaul Streets in Kensington over the summer. And now, they’ve rolled out a decadent weekend brunch menu.

Chef Drew Abruzzese (who co-owns the spot with his dad Andrew) brainstormed items for the new brunch menu with longtime mentor and family friend Matt Levin. The two worked together at New Hope’s Moonlight back in the day and collaborated on now-classic items on original Pineville Tavern’s menu. Since then, Levin’s worked at Lacroix at the Rittenhouse and Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago; he’s currently executive chef at Brûlée Catering.

And the results are some next-level brunch fare: Pineville is serving a “Double Down”-style breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, scrapple, Cooper Sharp, and jalapeño maple bacon jam between two pieces of pickle-brined fried chicken. There’s also bananas Foster stuffed French toast made with challah, cream cheese icing, and whiskey caramel sauce, plus their Port Fishington breakfast sandwich, with kielbasa from Swiacki Meats in Port Richmond, fried eggs, cheese, and sriracha ketchup on a Kaiser roll.

If that’s not enough over-the-top goodness, $20 gets you two hours of unlimited Bloody Marys or mimosas during brunchtime, 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Check out the full brunch menu below (click to embiggen).
