Here Comes Another Good King Cider Supper

Imported, domestic, and local ciders with some killer French food to pair.

In January, the Good King Tavern hosted what they called a Cider Supper. It was an enormous success because cider is big now, duh, and Good King — well aware of the moment it’s having — is building a pretty fantastic in-house cider collection.

And they’re showing off the goods again this Wednesday, March 8th, at 7 p.m.

It’ll pretty much be the same as the last Cider Supper: six different ciders — some domestic, some French — with Good King’s chef Nicholas Bazik providing the food pairings. The line-up includes some funky stuff from the Loire Valley, plus some Boston representation with Downeast Cider. Philly cider-makers Risa Zeller and Kerry McKenzie, the husband and wife team behind Hale & True, will also be there with their latest product. (They’re still just getting their start in the local cider world, so getting your hands on a bottle of Hale & True ain’t easy. Luckily, Good King’s doing the legwork for you.)

The tasting menu is $55 a pop (plus tax and gratuity), you can call the restaurant at 215-625-3700 to make your reservation.
