MoJo’s Storefront Popping Up in Pennsport

Popcorn looks even better with a bow.

Popcorn looks even better with a bow.

Ignore the awful pun; Passyunk Post reported that Mojo’s Pop Co, a mother-daughter team making gourmet toffee popcorn, is finally getting its own brick-and-mortar location in Pennsport. Though no definitive opening date is set, they are taking over the space that previously held Brown Chicken Brown Cow, and, before that, Strange Brew Coffee (1321 S. 2nd Street).

The team, started in 2013, makes gluten-free, gourmet toffee popcorn out of West Chester. Right now, they sell their small batch popcorn at farmers’ markets and retail shops around Philadelphia.

Think all-natural, non-GMO, and interesting flavors like cayenne cashew, hazelnut espresso, or white chocolate macadamia. These can also be bought online, if you so desire.

Since they’re projecting spring for an opening, they should be well on their way. If you happen to stop by when they open, get an extra bag of white chocolate macadamia for us.
