Chestnut Hill Farmer’s Market Gets a Makeover

Chestnut Hill Farmer’s Market is getting a local makeover. The new, simply named “MARKET” will be unveiled in November.  MARKET will feature the area’s local offerings, giving local producers and artisans the opportunity to sell their goods to the public. With the redevelopment also comes extended hours (Sundays for the holidays and five days a week in Spring) and community events. Picture it as a “modern general store,” where you’re sure to find something special.

The outdoor area between the market and Germantown avenue is also getting a reboot. Architect James Morrissey envisions  a community gathering space. A naming contest for that space will kick off in coming weeks.
