This Month at Bistrot Minette

We were strolling through Queen Village a couple of nights ago and were struck by just how wonderful it is to look into Bistrot La Minette. It is such a warm and inviting space with its gold glow and sharply dressed wait staff, we were just drawn in. This month La Minette has several reasons beyond its outward charm to pull you into the warm French bistro.

On Wednesday, October 20th Philadelphia Distilling Company (1681 Penn Vodka, Bluecoat Gin and Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure) will be part of a 5-course dinner with beverage pairings for $65. Located in the private Salon, there will only be 16-seats for the 6pm and 8:30pm seatings. See the menu and beverages here.

On October 26th and 27th the restaurant will be offering a dinner featuring the Auvergne region in the Massif Central, the center of France. The cuisine derives from assertive peasant fare, several cheeses and Lentilles de Puy, the famed green lentil dish of the region. The four-course dinner is $35, $50 with wine. See the menu here.

Al fresco dining and a movie continues in October as every Monday and Thursday a French movie is shown in the Garden Courtyard. Remaining movies include:

  • Oct. 18 & 21 Love Me If You Dare (2003)
  • Oct 25 & 28 Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001)
