Philly Live Scaled Down

The economy has forced the scaling down of the Philly Live concept set to replace the Spectrum at the sports complex. Inga Saffron has the latest from Ed Snider and company on the now smaller (still with plans for the world’s largest sports bar) and perhaps more organic plan.

The scaled-down Philly Live! will contain about 50,000 square feet of leasable space, enough for the main sports bar and four smaller bars and restaurants. Snider said he and his partners planned to operate the food venues themselves. He declined to put a price tag on the venture.

We cannot help but be a bit heartened that the megaplex is being scaled down, maybe Snider can garner some ideas from this excellent Illadelph rant.
