Here’s Every New Flight Scheduled to Come to PHL in 2019

The Philadelphia International Airport serves about 30 million commercial passengers each year and runs about 500 daily nonstop flights to more than 120 national and international destinations. Almost weekly there’s a new announcement about an airline expanding its service at the hub. With recent announcements from American Airlines, the airport’s top airline, and Frontier, the airport’s fourth leading airline, there’s a lot on the horizon for 2019. Here’s a look at every new flight scheduled to come to Philly this year, according to PHL. Plus, here’s a look at all of the flights that have been canceled within the past year.

Service Upgrades at PHL

Canada
American recently expanded seasonal service to Quebec City as well as year-round service to Ottawa.

Frankfurt
Lufthansa is upgrading its existing Philadelphia to Frankfurt route to B747-400 aircraft with 371 seats effective March 31, resulting in an increase of almost 100 seats per departure.

Prague
American announced that it will offer more seats on flights between Philadelphia and Prague in 2019 due to popular demand and robust ticket sales. Airbus 330-200 aircraft will feature more than 500 additional seats per week. The Philadelphia to Prague flight debuted in spring 2018.

Icelandair

  • Icelandair had planned to expand its seasonal service to January 2019 but opted to end it as scheduled in October.
