LANDOVER, MD — DeMarco Murray ran the ball eight times for 36 yards and was targeted through the air twice in the Eagles’ loss to the Redskins. But when the running back was asked after the game if he’s getting enough touches, he said he isn’t.

“No, I’m not,” Murray said. “I don’t think I am, but it’s just how the plays have been called.”

The running back averaged 4.5 yards per carry, but 30 of his 36 yards came on a single run. He also caught two passes for 11 yards. Although he received less than half of the Eagles’ total number of carries, he added that he understands his role and enjoys playing for Philadelphia.

“I love this offense. I love playing with these guys and it’s just how it is,” Murray said. “I knew what I was coming in here to do. I knew this offense, a lot of guys touch the ball. That’s how they make a lot of plays.”
