Yesterday, LeSean McCoy discussed his contract situation while making the rounds at Radio Row. Today, it was Jeremy Maclin‘s turn.

Maclin, who is still not under contract for 2015, was asked if he expects to continue his career in Philadelphia.

“Yeah. I’ve always said that,” Maclin said, via NJ.com. “But at the same time you have to understand what is going on.”

As we wrote about recently, Maclin could end up being the top receiver on the market depending on what happens with the likes of Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas and Randall Cobb. The 26-year-old is coming off a career year in which he caught 85 balls for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has put himself in a position to net a handsome pay day — perhaps to the tune of $10 million per year and $20 million guaranteed.

The franchise tag would cost the Eagles just under $13 million. And if they decided to go down that road?

“I guess I would really have no choice,” Maclin said.

Adam Caplan recently suggested that the task of re-signing Maclin may have gotten more difficult after the receiver changed agents from Ben Dogra to Tom Condon. Maclin, though, wasn’t sounding any alarms.

“Once again, both sides have made it known what we want to do,” he said, via the Inquirer. I think it will take care of itself.”

As for the idea that it’s an either/or situation with him and LeSean McCoy?

Free agency opens on March 10.
