DeSean Jackson Sidelined With Hamstring Injury

A thin wide receiving corps takes another hit.

Andy Reid revealed that DeSean Jackson will not practice Thursday afternoon because of a sore hamstring. No other details were immediately given.

Jeremy Maclin (hip) will also sit out of practice.

Reid already stated that Riley Cooper will miss Sunday’s game against Baltimore as he continues to recover from a fractured collarbone. Cooper did practice on Wednesday. To add depth to the depleted position, the Eagles brought back receiver Mardy Gilyard on Tuesday and released former second-round pick Jaiquawn Jarrett.

Jason Avant, Gilyard and Damaris Johnson are currently the only healthy receivers on the team.

On Thursday morning, the Eagles signed wide receiver Jeremy Ebert — a seventh-round choice by the Patriots in 2012 — to the practice squad. There are now three receivers on the practice squad, as Ebert joins B.J. Cunningham and Marvin McNutt.
