I hope you guys are getting hungry, because Philly’s inaugural Vegan Restaurant Week is coming — and the menus look good.

Starting September 16 (set your alarms, that’s less than a week away, people!), over 30 area restaurants will be participating in a week that’s all about chowing down on plant-based goodness and raising money for the Peace Advocacy Network.

While there are a lot of great restaurants serving up a lot of delicious dishes, here are a few we’re super excited to dig into.

Bar Bombón

Two words: cauliflower tacos. Sure, these are a menu staple at Bar Bombón, but that doesn’t make the light buffalo-fried cauliflower and green goddess dressing any less delicious. On Bar Bombón’s $35 prix fixe menu for the week, you’ll start with a salad including golden beets, lentils, arugula, and orange maple vinaigrette; followed by an empanada; a buffalo cauliflower taco; and tres leches cake for dessert. (Anyone else suddenly starving?!) Find the full menu here.

Miss Rachel’s Pantry

While this South Philly eatery is usually reserved for prix fixe menus and private parties (except for the weekend public dinners), on Tuesday, September 18, the doors will be open for 5 to 8 p.m. for an exclusive meal for Vegan Restaurant Week. The dish of the night is a BBQ platter — grilled and braised seitan that’s slathered in Miss Rachel’s custom BBQ sauce, with sides of mac and cheese, cucumber salad, and fresh biscuits, all for $16. The meal will be available for dine-in or take-out, but no pre-orders or reservations are available. Comfort food, anyone? See the full menu here.

Pumpkin

If you’re looking to turn Vegan Restaurant Week into an excuse for date night, Pumpkin is a good place to do it. This cozy Graduate Hospital eatery’s $45 prix fixe menu will feature four courses, kicking off with a chilled corn soup, followed by grilled beets with smoked hummus, slow roasted carrots with chickpea ragout (YUM), and closing out on a sweet note with whiskey prunes paired with grilled bread and apple sorbet (YUM x2). See the full menu here.

Front Street Café

If the idea of prix fixe kinda freaks you out — what if you don’t like all of the courses? — Fishtown’s Front Street Café is here to give you a little more wiggle room during Vegan Restaurant Week. Their $35, three-course menu opens with your choice of starters — like French onion soup, kale caesar salad, or fried “mozzarella.” Then, in the second course, there are a number of pastas — spaghetti squash or a cannellini bean ragout, along with a grain bowl — followed by a dessert of vegan cheesecake or chocolate mousse. See the full menu here.

Honest Tom’s Plant-Based Taco Shop

If you haven’t had a chance to visit Honest Tom’s since they announced they were going totally vegan, now’s your chance. For Vegan Restaurant Week, they’ll be serving up a play on nachos, with chips coated in their house queso, black beans, roasted poblanos, picked jalapeños, and pico de gallo, all for $8.50.
