Have you ever thought something was missing on your runs? You know, like lights, lasers, glow gear, DJs and electronic dance music? If so, your expectations for a run are pretty high — but you’re in luck: the Night Nation Run crew is looking to deliver on those expectations come May.

The Night Nation Run, a nighttime music festival/5K combo, is coming to Chester this spring and it’s, in a word, unique.   There are multiple concert stages scattered throughout the 5K racecourse that allow runners to take a “breather” and get their rave on with top electronic dance music DJs in between their dancing, skipping, jumping — or, you know, running —to the finish line. The 5K ends at the main stage with an after-party, because of course.

The event will go down at 8 p.m. on May 14th at the Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, home of the Philadelphia Union. Make sure to register quickly if you’re interested; signing up before Wednesday January 20th at 11:59 p.m. will get you $29 admission. After that, registration goes up to $60. Registration includes a Night Nation T-shirt, a glow necklace, free giveaways and admission to the Night Nation after party. Donating $1 to Stand Up To Cancer, their official charity, also gets you an “I Stand Up For” race bib that can be customized to honor a loved one.
