Calling All Runners: Poconos Resort to Host “Clothing Optional” 5K This Month

I’m pretty sure it’s physically impossible not to crack a smile at the name of this 5K: It’s called the 2015 Palmerton Wiggle Jiggle Giggle 5K. And you will certainly see a lot of wiggling and jiggling because clothing is optional.
The naked race will be held at 10 a.m. on August 23rd at Sunny Rest Resort, a nudist resort (natch) in the Poconos. Folks have the option to run a 5K — with or without a sports bra, your choice — or, for those of us who can’t imagine going a full three miles without any, ahem, support, you can join in on a shorter one-mile fun run and walk. Or you can wear your clothes, though I’m guessing you’ll be in the minority.
The $38 cost of registration includes the $10 resort entry fee that will last you through the end of the day. So post-naked run, you can go get your naked swim on. Just be warned: At the resort’s pool, going sans clothing is not optional, it’s required. You can learn more about the 5K and register here.
