Good News for Juice Junkies: The Juice Merchant Is Open

Hey, Manyank juice junkies: Remember when we told you way back in November that a new juice shop would be coming your way? Well, you’ll be happy to hear that The Juice Merchant — a cafe serving up tons of fresh-pressed raw juices along with smoothies, wraps, seasonal salads and more —  has officially opened its doors on Manayunk’s Main Street (4330 Main Street to be exact).

The kitchen is helmed by holistic food chef Monica Sellecchia who specializes in vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cuisine made with locally sourced produce, so you can expect to see lots of goodies catering to those dietary needs on the menu.

As I write this, I’m sipping on the The Juice Merchant’s Beet It juice, made with beets, carrots, pineapple, orange, ginger and turmeric, and I have to admit that I was skeptical before I took the first sip (I’ve had one too many bad turmeric drink experiences), but it’s really delicious. And once you get hooked on their juices, you won’t have to feel too guilty about your juice-a-day habit: A portion of all juice and smoothie sales from the the Juice Merchant go to Philabundance.

You can learn more about the shop and check out the full menu here.
