Where to Get Free Beer After the Broad Street Run

Here, three places where Broad Streeters can get a free beer after the big race. Because we know you’re only in it for the free beer (just kidding, people!). Check ‘em out below, pick your post-race party and prepare to have an awesome time before the soreness in your legs kicks in.

What: Philadelphia Runner’s Post-Broad Street Tailgate
Where: FDR Park Boathouse
When: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The folks from Philadelphia Runner, the Fairmount Park Conservancy, Shack Shack and Yards Brewing Company are teaming up to bring Broad Streeters a seriously fun post-Broad Street tailgate party at FDR Park this year. They’ll have free Yards beer, free Shake Shack burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches, post-race yoga and more. So, basically, it’ll be the best brunch party ever. Runners are encouraged to pick up tickets (they’re free!) from Philadelphia Runner or Shake Shack this week to guarantee they get their free beer and grub.

What: Lo Spiedo’s Victory Lap Beer Garden and Pig Roast
Where: 4503 South Broad Street
When: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year, Marc Vetri’s Lo Spiedo is hosting a Broad Street Run beer garden, open to both spectators and runners, that’ll kick off at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and soda for folks cheering their friends on. A pig roast will start at 10 a.m. and they’ll begin slinging beer at 11. And here’s where the free beer part comes in: The first 500 runners to make it to the beer garden will get a free Monkey Mimosa. That’s Victory Brewing Company’s Golden Monkey beer mixed with orange juice, for those (like me) who didn’t know. They’ll also have $5 Victory Summer Love and Helles Lager, plus pig roast sandwiches and platters. BBQ and a beer garden: What’s not to love?

What: ODDyssey Half Marathon’s Post-Broad Street Victory Party
Where: McFadden’s at Citizen’s Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way.
When: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Like last year, the ODDyssey Half Marathon is teaming up with McFadden’s to give 100 runners free beer. Here’s the deal: The first 100 runners to stop by the ODDyssey Half Marathon’s booth at the Broad Street Expo will get a voucher for a free beer at McFadden’s at Citizen’s Bank Park, where a post-race victory party will kick off at 10:30 a.m. They’ll also have drink discounts for folks who aren’t lucky enough to score a free beer.
