If you’re planning out your weekend workout schedule, you might want to add the 2nd Annual Cook-Wissahickon 5K to the list. The timed 5K, happening this Saturday, starts and finishes at the Cook-Wissahickon school in the Roxborough/Manayunk area. Participants can choose to either run the 5K or, if running a 5K sounds like absolute torture, walk a shorter 1.5-mile course. Both the run and the walk will be done on an open course through the neighborhood, so if you aren’t from the area, it’s a great chance to soak up some new scenery during your weekend workout.

All proceeds from the 5K will benefit Cook-Wissahickon Elementary school. You can find more information and register here.

$25 if you register before the race, $35 on the day of the race, $5 for students K-12; Saturday, April 26th at 10 a.m., Cook-Wissahickon Elementary school, 201 East Salaignac Street, Philadelphia
