To Do: Fireside Frostbite 5-Miler in Ambler

The coolest (literally!) race around.

Break out your thickest thermal and  your favorite winter hat because this is going to be a chilly one. The Ambler Area Running Club is calling for the most warm-blooded, chill-seeking, competitive runners to compete in its chip-timed Fireside Frostbite 5-miler.

The run, which takes place on February 16th, starts at Wissahickon High School where participants will tackle a course with rolling hills. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female overall as well as the top three male and female masters. But to earn these prizes, you have to be able to face the snow, sleet, rain, or shine, as the race goes on no matter what. Those who are brave enough to face the elements will be rewarded with post-race food and refreshments provided by the Fireside Bar and Grille. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Crefeld School. Find out more and register here.

$30, February 16th at 9 a.m., Wissahickon High School, 521 Houston Road, Ambler.
