• Here’s a health outcome I’m sure nobody saw coming: Researchers in Toronto think that birth control pills that women take might be increasing rates of prostate cancer among men. The connection’s this: women on birth control secrete estrogen in their urine, so it enters the water supply. And low levels of estrogen have been shown to cause cancer, particularly prostate cancer.
