Her work often explores Philly’s innovation future as anchored by the city's growing tech community and its established eds & meds sector. Her reporting also explores the state of jobs and workplaces, leadership, and commercial development.

Before covering the local economy, she covered education in Philly and in her hometown of New York City. And before launching her career in journalism, she taught seventh-graders in Camden, New Jersey. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Dickinson College.
