Oh My: Amanda Bynes’s Weight-Loss Goal Is to Be Underweight

In an interview with Us Weekly, actress Amanda Bynes says she wants to weigh 100 pounds.

Yikes. Twenty-six-year-old actress Amanda Bynes made the Internet gasp over the weekend when Us Weekly posted an interview in which she basically said her goal for weight loss is to be, um, underweight.

Check out #15 on the magazine’s list of “25 Things You Don’t Know About Amanda Bynes”: “15. I moved to New York City and I love it! I lost 4 lbs. since I moved. I’m 121 lbs. — my goal is 100 lbs.”

For someone like Snooki, clocking in at around 100 pounds is okay; she’s only a wee 4’9″ tall. But according to IMDB, Amanda Bynes is 5’7″, so weighing 100 pounds would put her in the “underweight” category, at least as far as the body-mass index is concerned. In fact, at her current weight of 121 pounds, Amanda Bynes juuuust makes it into the “normal weight” category, with a BMI of 18.9 (18.5 is the low-end cut-off). So a 100-pound Amanda Bynes? That’s a wee bit scary.
