Profile
High-style Chinese elegance has transformed an 18th-century tavern into a special-occasion destination for Main Line crowds. Now smoke free, Yangming, whose name means “sunshine, bright and happy,” serves up creative Chinese/Continental fusion, with Westernized dishes, like rigatoni in garlic lemon saffron sauce with sautéed chicken tenders, as well as fragrant classics like spicy General Tso’s chicken.

This place was fantastic. I have gone to many, many Asian restaurants but Yangming has to be the most awesome I ever tasted. The crab cakes were heavenly, all sweet lump crabmeat and huge, the shrimp with honey walnuts was to die for and the mudpie was a great dessert. My server, Charlie, was professional and knowledgeable about wines. I am planning to return next week with my in-laws so that I can get a few points. I see know why they won Best in America.

A VERY PLEASANT AMBIENCE WITH FRIENDLY SERVERS AWAIT YOUR ORDER, BUT DO NOT ENTER ON WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS WITHOUT A RESERVATION. YANG MING HAS A VARIETY OF GOURMET AND EXPECTED CHINESE DISHES, BUT NOTHING IS TYPICAL ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT. EVERYTHING IS PREPARED AND PRESENTED WELL WITHOUT PRETENSION.
PRICED ARE REASONABLE BUT NOT INEXPENSIVE! BE PREPARED TO LEAVE YOUR PARKING RAGE AT HOME IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 6:00!

I recently had made a reservation at Yang Ming.
The parking lot was an accident waitig to happen.
The people were literally hanging from the chandeliers........After waiting for 1/2 hour for the reservation to be honored, we asked and were told they were running over an hour late on their reservations.
Any restaurant that overbooks like this is one that is rude and doesn't care about their customers opinions.
