Korean food might not jump out at you as what you want to eat after a long night of clubbing with your friends (that’s what Pat’s and Geno’s are for, right?), but do as the local Korean students do and hit Pojangmacha, which is open well past your bedtime (sometimes as late as 4am). Sit at the counter, order a bottle of soju, which is sort of like vodka, and a bowl of ramen noodles in a spicy broth, and just observe.

We just got back from dinner at PoJangMaCha. The food is yummy! You won't find bi bim bap or other more common Korean dishes on the menu, but if you like kimchee jigae you will love the stews here. We had the fish cake soup and seafood pancake as appetizers (not sure how to spell the korean names of these), then the chicken & potato stew. We went on the early side - 6 pm - I think most of their korean clientele comes later - so we had the place to ourselves, which was nice (no worries about our toddler bothering anyone). The menu is in Korean, and the owners don't speak much english, so it is more a place for adventurous eaters. Did I mention the food was delicious? I will definitely go back!!
