Profile

Maybe it’s the 40-foot ceilings and wine tower, or the polished waitstaff, or the thin burgundy curtains draped between Roman columns that somehow steal Mia diners away from nearby casino-bound passersby. Then again, it could be the Scarduzio-Perrier-standard dinners—and high-end, by-the-glass wine list—that make an eater feel sublimely apart. Start with house-made cavatelli with pancetta, or pizza tartuffo topped with forest mushrooms, parmesan, lobster, truffles and foie gras. Dig serious entrées: roasted Atlantic salmon or a you-barely-need-a-knife-to-cut-it 16-ounce Delmonico. Whenever you go, resist the urge to waste the last of your wallet on the gambling floor, and spend it here. Mia’s a sure bet.
