Enjoy the Last Gasps of Summer with this Epic Roundup of Jersey Shore Rentals


It only feels like summer is ending this weekend. Remember, fall doesn’t truly begin until September 22. Get in on these shore rentals now when the boards aren’t as crowded and the rates are a little friendlier.

Ocean City

45th and Central
This 4-bedroom, 2-bath corner home sleeps nine. September rates vary from $2,300 – $3,100 for a week. Renters get lots of balcony space to enjoy the ocean view, plenty of private parking and a gourmet kitchen.



Asbury Avenue
This cottage has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and owners say it accommodates up to 12. Plenty of deck room and two (two!) master suites. Fall rates are $1,500 for the week.



Bayside
This bayside property sleeps 10 in three bedrooms with two bathrooms. Amenities are key here. The home includes a hot tub, a giant 3D TV and “practically every popular video game system available today.” Weekends are a steal at $999.



Sea Isle City

Oceanfront and marsh views
This four-bedroom property sleeps nine and has views for days. Renters get direct shore access from the home at about $2,500 per week through the fall.



Central and 45th
This two-bedroom, two-bath cottage offers rare nightly rentals (with a two-night minimum) at $150 per night. There’s a lovely soaking tub and enormous balcony.



54th Street Beach
Seven houses from the beach, this four bedroom home sleeps up to 12. In addition to plenty of space and three and a half baths, this property has two private covered decks and an outdoor shower. A cancellation for one family means there’s a special right now and someone can rent the home for a week in September for $2,000.



Stone Harbor

Cottage along The Courts
This darling cottage sleeps eight in two bedrooms. In addition to lots of paneling, there is the cutest cut-out window we’ve seen in a while. Weekly rates in September hover around $1,200.



95th Street
This beautiful colonial boasts three bedrooms and a private pool. There is also a master suite located inside a separate guest house. Plus it’s called Sea’s the Day! September rates match the luxury property at $4,000 a week.



91st Street
This four-bedroom Cape Cod has beautiful finishes in addition to its four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The mahogany deck is expansive and the kitchen is a cozy dream. September rentals are $2,200 a week.



Cape May

Franny’s Folly
This oceanfront Victorian screams everything you want when you visit Cape May. The enormous seven-bedroom home sleeps 15 and comes full of high ceilings, period furniture and Victorian details. There are lovely balconies as well as a garden with gazebo and children’s playhouse. The property rents for $4,000 per week in the fall or $3,500 for a weekend.



Abigail Adams Apartments
These cozy apartments each offer one bedroom but sleep up to four. Rooms are on Decatur Street, which makes the location ideal. September rates are $135-$215 a night or $1,100-$1,300 a week.



122 Eldredge Avenue
This Victorian estate offers five bedrooms on a huge plot of land that includes private gardens and a waterfall. September rates are a steal, at $1,250 weekly (the property rents for nearly $4,000 a week in the season).



Avalon

North End
This property  has six en-suite bedrooms and sleeps 16. In addition, there’s a workout room and multiple covered porches. September rates are $5,000 a week.



South Avalon at the Merrimac
This one-bedroom condo sleeps 4 on an ocean block. The heated pool will come in handy in September, when weekly rates vary from $800 – $1,100.



12th Street
This four-bedroom cape-style home is blocks from the beach and sleeps up to 10. The decks are cozy and landscaping in the back yard is a nice touch. Weeks in September rent for $2,125.



Wildwood

Blocks from Boardwalk
This two-bedroom apartment is a rare find in that it offers nightly rates ($200) and lacks wicker furniture and tacky art. Weeks go for $1,050.



Heart of Wildwood
This one-bedroom condo sleeps up to six, blocks from the Boardwalk. The complex has a pool and units also include balconies. September rentals are $700 a week but there is special $300 weekend pricing for infamous event weekends the names of which we dare not utter.



Atlantic Avenue
This enormous and smartly decorated Victorian has four bedrooms and sleeps 12 not far from the Boardwalk. Fall weeks rent for $2,695.
