WMMR’s Preston & Steve and Steven Singer Jewelers Want to Help Two Philly Couples Get Engaged!

Well it’s a good thing I happened to be listening to Preston & Steve (WMMR’s morning show featuring some of the city’s most beloved radio personalities; is it weird I truly cannot remember a time in my life when I didn’t listen to them?) during the right block this morning, because I heard them talking about a contest they have going on right now that some of you lovely readers who have joined us before actually becoming engaged (we see you!) just might want to know about: It’s a proposal contest!

The guys are in cahoots with the peeps at Steven Singer Jewelers down near Philly’s iconic Jewelers’ Row, and here are the deets:

  • The bling: Steven Singer will provide the question-popper with a $5,000 engagement ring from the store’s “Ready for Love” collection. (If you win, you’ll be able to go down to the shop and pick it out yourself.) This morning, though, Preston was saying that the winner will be allowed to contribute their own funds, if they so wish—so, like he said, if you’ve got $3K saved up for a ring right now and you win, you can pick out an $8,000 ring.
  • The proposal: Please do not be fooled by the misleading stock photo above: if your person wins, your proposal will not occur peacefully at a delightful outdoor cafe over a few glasses of wine. Nope, this is specifically a “Wakeup Call Proposal,” meaning that your to-be and the morning crew from WMMR will be blasting into your bedroom while you sleep early in the morning in order to ask you to please spend the rest of your life with him. What a way to begin your forever, huh?
  • The logistics: You’ve got to be 18 to enter this, and you’ve got to do it by Monday, November 17th. You can enter right here. After that, the guys will pick two winners, and will be in touch about planning your proposal.

So good luck! And if you win, obviously, we are going to need you to submit for PW Reader Ring. (Not to mention hear from you all about how it was to be awoken from your slumber by a bunch of lovable crazies wielding microphones and diamonds.)
