British Woman Kindly Asks Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Not to Shut Down Her Wedding to Make Way for Their Film
A British woman who planned to get married on Gozo’s Mgarr ix-Xini beach in Malta this October was just recently informed that her permit was put on hold because Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have also planned to shoot a “experimental, independent-type” film in the same place at the same time.
And so, this enterprising bride is actually doing something quite simple, instead of hiring lawyers and fighting the permit block and making angry phone calls and all of that: She’s simply trying to get word to Brad and Angie and ask them if she can please still have her wedding.
“At the end of the day, of course we can do it somewhere else,” she said, but added that the secluded bay of Mgarr ix-Xini held a “special significance” for her and her fiance David Ellis, 51 {…}
“I don’t want to cause trouble. I don’t want to get compensated. I don’t want to stand in the way. I’d just like to have satisfied myself that I’ve done everything I can to have the wedding we’d planned.”
So rational! We here at PW hope very much that the couple’s story on BBC (well and here, obv) reaches the Hollywood couple, and that their plans to get hitched go off without a hitch.
