Philadelphia Is Under a Tornado Watch

At least it's not snow, right?

NBC 10 reports: “A Tornado Watch is in effect through 5 p.m. for Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania and the entire state of Delaware. The National Weather Service specifically calls for people to be ready for potential tornadoes since conditions are favorable for twisters. And, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings are in effect for parts of Chester, Delaware and New Castle Counties until 1:30 p.m.”

Just to be clear, a Tornado Watch is when a tornado is possible. If actual tornados occur, we will have Tornado Warnings.

That said, weather is starting to feel like a cosmic joke at our expense, no?

AND LO, the people cried out to the Weather Gods. “Weather Gods, hear our prayer!” they beseeched. “Please Weather Gods, no more goddamned snow! Please, Weather Gods, no more goddamn snow days where we’re stuck inside with the kids! Please, oh Weather Gods, just for one warm day.”

AND THE WEATHER GODS DID HEAR, and they sent a wave of warm weather upon the people. Lo, the warm weather did mix with the cold weather that preceded it, and together the two systems created the likelihood of twisters and severe storms and other giant pains in the ass.

AND LO, the Weather Gods did laugh, because they are sons of bitches.
