Philly Leads Big Cities in Bicycle Commuting


So: Members of the Mayor’s Office of Transportation and Utilities took a deeper look at recent Census numbers and have concluded: Philly leads the nation’s biggest cities in bicycle commuting!

Here’s the chart the office produced:



Nationwide, the experts said, bicycle commuting has increased by 61 percent. That’s still not a ton, but it’s not a bad improvement. And the fun thing is this: somewhere, this information is causing Stu Bykofsky to angrily shake his fist toward heaven and rage against the unjustness of it all. Or so we imagine.
