Red Mango Closes at 15th and Locust

Red Mango, the international frozen yogurt chain that came to Philadelphia well after the froyo trend had seemingly slowed has closed its location at 15th and Locust after just 15 months.

A note on the franchise’s Facebook page reads:

Thank you for your patronage and support over the last 15 months! If you have visited us lately, then you will have already learned of our sad news. Unfortunately, we are closing, and our last day will be Monday, 10/28. Our hours will be 11am-7pm. Stop by to see us and bid farewell. We will miss all your lovely faces! Special thanks to our staff, and thanks again to you all!

Damn! Loved their froyo. I almost went there last week, but decided not to. Bummer!

Ugh, the only froyo place that I liked! This is sad news to me.

And now in its place, a Cronut shop!!

Never went to Red Mango. Why would I, when Capogiro is only two blocks away?

I actually worked there when it opened. I was hired on as a manager and the training and everything was the most ODD experience I’ve ever been through. 3 men bought it and had their wives/girlfriends (who all hated each other) run the store. It was INSANE. I quit within 2 weeks due to the insane atmosphere and I told my husband “they’ll be closed in a year”.. well I was almost right!
