#27 on the Philly Mag 50
Matyson was among the first of the city BYOBs to realize that a meal can be casual, even playful, and notable. Joyous general manager Michael Wightman sets the tone in the basic dining room, and chefs Ben Puchowitz and Brian Lofink, in addition to their solid New American menu, create whimsical weekly tasting menus (five courses for $45, Monday through Thursday).

We had the 5 course tasting menu last night & it was RIDICULOUS - as in EXCELLENT. Each dish was better than the next. Spacing between courses was timed perfectly. ADDITIONALLY - the COFFEE (def NOT starbucks) ROCKS - the true test of a GREAT restaurnat!
