Monday: Megan Nicole ($15)
Musician Megan Nicole debuted on YouTube in 2009 when her covers of popular songs gained national attention. Her debut EP album, Escape, was released in 2009, adding a whole new legion of fans to her 2.5 million YouTube subscribers. Listen before you go: "Electrified." Tuesday: One Direction ($30-105)
Boy band One Direction formed in 2010 after they all auditioned as solo candidates on the popular British singing competition The X Factor. The quintet from London will soon go on a hiatus to pursue solo work, but not before their long-awaited return to Philly's Lincoln Financial Field. Better see them while you can. Wednesday: The Jersey Corn Pickers ($7)
Philly-based band The Jersey Corn Pickers consist of five instrumentalists and singers, playing bluegrass and Americana music all over the region. Known for their rowdy live shows, the group has released two albums and often perform at clubs, coffee houses and festivals in the area. Listen before you go: "Katy Daly." Wednesday, September 2, 7pm, Bourbon and Branch, 705 North 2nd Street.


Thursday: West Philadelphia Orchestra ($10)
West Philadelphia Orchestra is an ensemble of talented Philly-based musicians who came together to perform Eastern European music and other eclectic styles to the streets of Philly and beyond. The group tours all over the East Coast, playing wild live shows and constantly expanding their repertoire. Listen before you go: "Caje Sukarije." Thursday, September 3, 8pm, Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill Street.


Friday: 5 Seconds of Summer ($25)
Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds of Summer formed in 2011 and instantly became YouTube phenomenons before gaining international fame while touring with One Direction in 2012. They have since released two albums and been nominated for and won many awards. Listen before you go: "She's Kinda Hot." Counting Crows at Borgata Festival Park
California-based rock band The Counting Crows gained popularity after the release of their 1993 debut album, August and Everything After. Since, they have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and were nominated for a 2004 Academy Award for their song "Accidentally in Love." Listen before you go: "Mr. Jones." Death Cab for Cutie at TLA
Founded in 1997, alternative rock band Death Cab for Cutie gained fame in the Indie music scene with the release of their debut album, Something About Airplanes.
