Wistar’s Sips, Schmooze & Science: Under the Microscope

Winning photos from the Nikon Small World exhibition were on display as the Wistar Ambassadors and guests mingled at the Institute.

Nearly 100 guests attended the Sips, Schmooze & Science: Under the Microscope event with the ambassadors of the Wistar Institute at the Institute last night. The ambassadors are bright young leaders of the Philadelphia region who are working to support the Wistar Institute. Lynsie Solomon (chair of the ambassadors) welcomed the guests to the cocktail party held quarterly and introduced James E. Hayden, manager of Wistar’s microscopy facility. He led a discussion on the winning photos from the 2015 Nikon Small World exhibition — visually stunning photographs taken through the microscope on display at the cocktail party. Guests enjoyed small plates and spirits from Palladino’s on East Passyunk while mingling and bidding on silent-auction and raffle items.
