HughE Dillon One-Shot: United Way Party

Two people graduate from the Individual Development Account program.

Last night at the Cira Centre, the United Way hosted a party to celebrate the success of the “graduation” of two people from the United Way’s Lubert Individual Development Account program (IDA), where people are taught strategies to help help hard-working families save for the purchase of a home or to further their education. The IDA program assists people in achieving financial independence. Former basketball player and CEO at ACHIEVEability Marcus Allen, Jill Michal, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Larvar Edwards, an IDA graduate (Larvar returned to school and became an LPN with the assistance of IDA), and Ira M. Lubert, chairman and co-founder of Lubert-Adler.
