Starting tomorrow, the city's focus is on style
Every year around this time the world focuses on NYC’s Fashion Week. Well world, sit up and take notice: Philadelphia is making a splash of its own with two organizations putting on big fashion “weeks.” 17 Days of Fashion kicks off tomorrow in Love Park with a reception at 5 p.m. and the “Candy Coated Kids Fashion Show” beginning at 6:30 p.m. Then on September 12th, our city-sponsored fashion week, Philadelphia Collection 2011, begins. Last week, Michelle Shannon, from the Center City District, and city representative Melanie Johnson unveiled the new logo at the Rittenhouse Hotel (below).
