HughE Dillon: Extra Helpings of Feastival Pics

Plus last week's Out and Abouts cover where Chase Utley shopped, Wanda Sykes ate, and Kelly McGillis got hitched

The most anticipated new event to happen to the foodie/theater community this year happened last Wednesday: Feastival, the fundraiser to benefit the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe. Chaired by Michael Solomonov, Audrey Claire Taichman, and Stephen Starr, the event was held in a NoLibs warehouse (left). To see what auction item Governor Rendell threw into the mix at the last second, and all the chefs, foodies and fun people attended, see today’s slideshow.

The New York Times reports that actress Kelly McGillis and Melanie Leis, a sales executive, were joined in a civil union last Wednesday morning (September 15th) at the Collingswood Municipal Court in Collingswood, where McGillis now lives. In July McGillis was honored at the Philadelphia Cinema Alliance’s QFest and given the Artistic Achievement Award for Acting.

Shane Victorino and Chase Utley were shopping at the Nordstrom Rack on Thursday.

E! News reports that Oprah Winfrey will soon lead a group of students from the Leadership Academy in South Africa, which Oprah founded in 2007, on a weekend tour of several colleges, including Temple University.

I guess Bravo has a trademark on NJ Housewives flipping tables … Wilmington club Funkey Monkey canceled the Table Flipping contest portion of this Saturday’s appearance by Teresa Guidice from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, after Bravo ordered them to “cease and desist.” Instead, Teresa will judge a look-a-like contest.

Wanda Sykes had dinner at Parc last night.

Hair Metal Fan Alert: Vince Neil, lead singer of Mötley Crüe, will be signing copies of his latest solo album Tattoos and Tequila at 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Center City Borders.

Before there was an Arthur Kade there was a Tucker Max, and he’ll be signing his new book Assholes Finish First at the Borders on September 30th at 6 p.m. (What I really would like to see is a Damon Feldman “Celebrity Boxing Match” between Tucker Max and Arthur Kade.)
