Maybe the resurgence of ’90s style brought back Doc Martens, or maybe they never really left in the first place, but either way, the grungy boots are here to stay.

For those ready to dip their toes back into the boots (I suggest you do — check out these eighty-somethings rocking them, and any of these street-style photos for inspiration), you’ll want to head to the Dr Martens store at 1710 Walnut Street tonight.

The Philly outpost is joining forces with fashion/art duo Jeantrix for a custom shoe event, which is open to the public from 5pm to 8pm this evening. The scoop: Spend $50 in the store and the Jeantrix team will customize your new or previously owned Doc Martens boots for free. They have new designs (think splashy graffiti-like painting) they’ve created for the event — you can peep them here! — but you can request anything.

Perhaps a silhouette of Jordan Catalano?
