Bride-to-be Blogger Leslie: Choosing My Wedding Hair

As the planning process becomes crazier, it’s easier to see that the wedding circuit is all about people and who you know. I wouldn’t have hired half the people or businesses I’m working with for our wedding without consulting my friends, families and readers for their suggestions. Good word of mouth is the most important form of advertising in the wedding circuit!

This week was an exciting week for me in terms of wedding planning, because I met my wedding-day hairstylist for the first time. This would be a good example of how I used my connections with friends to find an awesome stylist: Meredith, who is doing my wedding makeup, suggested I meet a hair-stylist friend of hers who she has worked with on a number of weddings. Because I knew I could trust Meredith, I immediately set up an appointment to get my hair cut and colored by my stylist-to-be, Carrie!

I ended up getting my hair colored a little darker than usual, as it had been lightened by the sun this summer, and I am excited that it is now all one color! Carrie and I spent the entire time she was doing my hair talking about potential ways to do my hair and different options she thought would look good on me. It was great to meet her, because we got along well and had similar personalities, which is important when hiring someone for your wedding day!

Now the question of the week is: How should I do my hair? Up or Down? Decisions, decisions! I was initially leaning towards having it all up so it was one less thing to worry about, but now I like the idea of having part of it down, too.

How did you do your hair for your wedding? Or what would your dream wedding hairstyle look like? Let me know what you are thinking!
