Bensalem Teen Killed After Car Passes Bus and Hits Her

A car blew past a bus with its flashers on, police say. That car struck a 16-year-old girl, killing her.

A teenage student was struck and killed by a car this morning on Bensalem Boulevard.

Police say a car passed the school bus, hitting the 16-year-old. The bus had its flashing lights on, telling drivers to stop behind it.

The victim was identified as Minete Zeka. Action News reported the driver of the car that hit Zeka, a 1984 Ford Bronco, is 18.

Shocked students at the scene told reporters, including Fox 29’s Steve Keeley, that cars frequently speed down the street.

The driver remained on scene after the crash. The girl, who who was walking to get on the school bus, was rushed to Aria-Torresdale hospital and pronounced dead.
