New Poll: Joe Sestak Among Long List of People Who Would Easily Beat Corbett

Tom Corbett is so unpopular, he would lose to someone almost completely unknown to Pennsylvania voters. In Quinnipiac’s latest poll, Allentown mayor Ed Pawlowski would beat the incumbent 44-38, despite the fact that 87% of PAers don’t know much about him at all. What this says: we trust Poles and mayors of mid-sized cities. A more likely bet, Joe Sestak–sorry, Admiral Joe Sestak–would fare even better, by a margin of 47-38. Allyson Schwartz leads by slim margin, while somewhat surprisingly, Treasurer Rob McCord trails the guv.
