James Earl Jones Named Philadelphia’s Marian Anderson Award Recipient of 2012

James Earl Jones will be at the Kimmel Center in November to accept the 2012 Marian Anderson Award. The award is named for Philadelphia native Marian Anderson. Anderson became the first black soloist at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 1955. The annual award is given to an actor whose leadership benefits humanity.
