Radio Station 106.9 Changes Format/Has Fun With Armageddon

Those tuning in to 106.9 this morning looking for some Christian programming from Family Radio—the source of the low, hypnotic, apocalyptic tones of Harold Camping—will hear that the station has officially switched to Merlin Media, which plans to change that dial stop to an all-talk format. The station is currently looping “It’s the End of the World as We Know It,” by REM. Whether to warn listeners about the rumored coming of Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck to its airwaves, or to poke fun at Camping’s failed predictions, we’re not certain.
