Wanda Sykes Had Breast Cancer
Actress and comedian opened up on Ellen
Wanda Sykes revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that she had breast cancer. Sykes was diagnosed after lab work came back following a breast reduction surgery in February. She underwent a double mastectomy to fight ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in her left breast. The actress recently did a Q&A with Philly mag’s Richard Rys to talk about her portrayal of Miss Hannigan, her upcoming shows at the Keswick Theatre, and what it’s like raising 2 1/2-year-old twins.
