FDA Finds Problems at Consolidated Red Cross Centers

The American Red Cross set up new blood centers in Philadelphia in a consolidation effort that was wrapped up a year and a half ago. Now, it’s been reported that the FDA found a slew of problems in its only inspection of the new centers including understaffing, lack of quality-assurance and ineffective management. [Inquirer]
