Wedding: Picture Perfect
The best, totally-Philly spots to shoot your wedding photos
30TH STREET STATION
Market and 30th streets
It may have been featured in several major motion pictures, but 30th Street Station also plays a starring role in wedding photography, says Sofia Negron. It may not be the most popular stop for wedding-day photo-ops, but Negron has done engagement shoots in the regional rail area. “Couples love it,” she says.

CITY HALL
Broad and Market streets
“I do a really cool shot of the bridal party holding hands in the middle of Market Street with City Hall in the background,” says Tomko. “It looks like Abbey Road.” William Penn may be dwarfed by high-rises, but there are at least four different views of the building that can be captured at street level from four corners, making it a versatile shoot location — assuming you are able to stop traffic.
PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART
Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 26th Street
As many wedding parties visit the steps of the art museum as do Rocky enthusiasts. However, to visit this site with your wedding photographer, permits from the Fairmount Park Commission, which cost $50 per hour, are required. “The East Terrace is an extremely popular place,” says Charles Croce, the museum’s director of marketing and public relations. It overlooks the Parkway toward City Hall.
RITTENHOUSE SQUARE PARK
Between 18th and 20th streets
Thanks to its prime location in Center City, Rittenhouse Square is a convenient setting for wedding photos. Close to churches and temples, the bucolic park’s lush greens provide a natural contrast to bridal wear. In fall, the most popular season for weddings, says Labbancz, the colors are vibrant, and even in winter, the stark trees and architecture are unmistakably urban.
