Ragas Report: Test Drive
Salon Bronze
WHAT: An at-home airbrush tanning system that uses an FDA-approved color additive to enhance skin safely and naturally.
HOW IT WORKS: Insert a cartridge into a hair-dryer-looking applicator, hold it 12 inches from your body, and spray evenly.
THE PROS: It was nice, for once, not to be a whiter shade of pale.
THE CONS: Nowhere in the directions does it say you’ll need the aid of a really sweet fiancé who will withstand your shouting after he tells you he got the spray on your cloth shower curtain and your tan is streaking down your back. Nor does it say cleanup is easy: I had to bleach my tub when I was finished. And my tan only lasted five days and was streaky; the salon applications I’ve had come out more even and last twice as long.
PRICE: $19.99 at area Wal-Marts, or at asseenontvnetwork.com.
