The Good Life: Holiday Philosophy

Serve up this (good-enough-to-eat) beauty booty for the holidays

I've always been a fan of Philosophy products — it's hard to resist the company's so-clever packaging and ever-witty product names, like “Hope in a Jar” (moisturizer) and “On a Clear Day” (acne serum) and “Big Mouth” (lip sheers).

I've always been a fan of Philosophy products — it's hard to resist the company's so-clever packaging and ever-witty product names, like “Hope in a Jar” (moisturizer) and “On a Clear Day” (acne serum) and “Big Mouth” (lip sheers).

But this holiday, the Oprah-approved brand outdid even itself: A “Candy Cane” mini-suitcase comes with minty-fresh shower gel, body scrub, moisturizer and lipshine; holiday “cookbooks” come with soaps in “hot cocoa,” “eggnog” and “spiced apple cider” scents; and a “Holiday Rescue” kit comes with gingerbread man shower gel and hot salt scrub. There's something for every girlie-girl on your holiday shopping list (of course, at Philosophy's totally reasonable prices, there's no reason not to treat yourself, too). But one warning: Tempted though you may be to eat these goodies up, remember that it's all designed to nourish your body on the outside.
